Baby Sydney is here!

Wow! Oh my gosh! It's simply amazing and beautiful the miracle of birth. I'm humbled beyond description for God's kindness in sending us another of His precious and beautiful daughters. I fell in love immediately, and my love for San expanded exponentially! San did a great job delivering baby Sydney. I'm amazed by her strength.

Sydney Amanda Gray was born at 12:58 p.m. today. She weighed in at 7 lbs. and 20 in. long. San and the baby are doing great...San woke up this morning to contractions at 7 a.m. We went for our usual walk and they were getting stronger so we went home and called the nurse and they told us to go to labor and delivery. We got here at 10:38 a.m. and San was already dilated to 6 1/2 cm. San got to 10 cm. very quickly and about 5 pushes later Sydney was here.

Here's a picture of Sydney on the scale before she got all cleaned up and pretty. I had to use my phone camera because our regular camera's battery was dead. So, tomorrow we'll take lots of great pix and post for everyone.

Finally we want to thank you all for your out-pouring of love and kindness. We've been in many wards (church congregations) and we've never experienced such amazing Christianity. We are truly blessed! -Simon
