Day Five

Hi everyone! This is Simon; San usually updates the blog, but she is otherwise occupied as you might imagine. As promised, here are a few more pix of Sydney's birthday. It's awesome how beautiful San is even after going through labor!

Just look at those cheeks!

Sofia was so excited and celebrated the birth of her new baby sister. It was also incredibly tender and sweet to see Sofi as she met Sydney for the first time. She was so sweet as she gently caressed Sydney's hair and kissed her cheeks. She even tried to picked her up. She has been so loving to her little sister; Sofia is a wonderful blessing!

San has taught Sofia the love of reading, and here is Sofia patiently reading as we waited in the hospital.
See what I mean, absolutely beautiful...both San and Sofia. Sydney looks so much like Sofi when she was born that I'm certain she is going to be just as beautiful. I know I'm in for some protective-father days ahead with two gorgeous daughters.
As you know San's labor came on suddenly Wednesday morning and didn't last long. It was so exciting and almost like in the movies when they rush to the hospital just in time. It was surreal and thrilling at the same time. Thank goodness we made it there in time for San to get her epidural. My mother in law came later that afternoon and stayed with us until today. She was a tremendous help to us, and we are very thankful for everything she did for us while here. My sisters in law, Samara and DeeDee also came and helped us with Sofia.
My mom is coming either next week or the week after. We look forward to her visit and know that she can't wait to see her newest grand daughter and Sofi too. It's hard when we live so far apart, and we're thankful that she's willing and able to make the trip. We wish my grandmother and dad could come too, but I don't think they'll be able to.
I'm especially grateful that we are an eternal family, sealed together forever. I never knew that life could be so wonderful. I love my girls! - Simon

What a beautiful family! You are a lucky man, Simon, to be able to live with three beautiful women. :) I'm so glad things are going well. Please let San know I've been thinking about her and to let me know if I can do anything for either of you.

Congratulations! It is great having 2 little girls right at the beginning. They will be each other's playmates and friends forever (of course there will be some inevitable fights along the way). I say that as my two girls play "pretend" together in the other room. Here's to many fun years ahead. What beautiful girls! Way to go San. You look great!
