13 Months Old (a little late...)

We LOVE our Sofi and have been having a blast with her this month! It's been WAY too hot to stay outside for too long, so we have had to find lots of things to do indoors. We've spent a LOT of time in the pool. We also have been to the library and Barnes and Noble pretty much everyday for story time. It's awesome because at the library, there is a theater and they have live productions for the kids during the summer. They have been awesome! This is us taking Sofi to see Scooby Do.

Sofi is SO much fun at this stage. She is learning how to say new things all the time and gets so excited when she learns something new! It's exciting to see her grow. Here are a few things that we love about her at this stage:

-She still loves story time and loves seeing all of her friends. She especially loves being at Barnes and Nobel because they have "bubbles" time at the end. Here she is with her friends trying to catch some bubbles:
-Can say "mamma", "dadda". "juice", "amen", "hi", "bye bye", "no", "mmmm" (as in "yummy"), etc.

-Has learned to fake laugh (which is hilarious to hear)

-Will make us read the same books over and over to her in one sitting. Tonight she made me read "Princess Baby" 3 times before bed...

-Loves to rub my belly and talk to her little sister

-Doesn't want to sit, but wants to wander, always in search of a new find

-Loves messing up anything that I have JUST arranged...

-Has just discovered Dora the Explorer (a friend moved and gave us a bunch of DVDs). We let Sofi watch one in the car for the first time on a trip to Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and it made her day! Now, she loves Dora...Simon is thrilled about this because he speaks Spanish and wants Sofi to grow up bi-lingual.

-Giggles contentedly when she you play with her. Her laugh is so refreshing.

-Still loves playing all the time with her daddy!

-Loves for you to sing to her, especially the alphabet.

-Wants to feed herself and does a pretty good job so far...

-Only wants grown-up food
